Fresh New Sauce on the Way! // 1/23/2007
We've just mastered some new recipes for the sauce and this new moviesauce is our best yet. I can't wait for everyone to try it.
The new site is on the way. We're keeping our little minions working 24/7. We're going to have oodles and boodles of great new features...and FUN!
The call for entries will be opening up soon so go ahead and get your money ready to give to us...and your movies, if you want.
Also, our winner for Best Narrative Short last year,
Binta and the Great Idea, just got nominated for Best Live Action Short at this year's Academy Awards. Woohoo! That's right, we awarded an Oscar-nominated film before it was an Oscar-nominated film. We have prestige now, and we're not afraid to use it.

Brewing the New Sauce // 10/4/2006
We are currently in the early planning stages of MSFF3. We're brainstorming all of the possibilities: elephants, clowns, sharks that ride on torpedos, and ninjas that use bicycles as weapons.
Everything
.
We plan to have the new website up by the end of the year as well as finalized dates and a call for entries. We will have a much bigger focus on local work this year and will put a good deal of our efforts into getting the filmmakers of North Louisiana to submit films and attend our festival. But don't worry, we'll still have a strong national and international division too, and we will be scouting out entries at other festivals and internet sites through the course of the next year to make sure our line-up is a damn good one.
I can't tell you much more except that it's going to rock so hard that your grandparents will feel it. You can take that to the bank.

A Dose of Sauce // 8/26/2006
Moviesauce Films, LLC, is now up and running and is our official legal entity for the Moviesauce Film Festival and the films we produce.
"Getting Outer Space" (the short film by Evan Falbaum) has been completed and will screen at MSFF3. Our next project, written and directed by Hunter Carter, will probably begin production this holiday season and move into the summer. After that, we will begin production on a feature-length version of "Getting Outer Space." We will be collaborating with Awesomesauce winner and homeboy Adam Jones (writer/director of Cross Eyed) on this project.
"When's the festival?", you ask. Due to the poor attendance at this year's festival, we are rescheduling MSFF3 for the holiday season of '07 to see if Santa will bring us a crowd. Yes, that's a year and a half away. I know, you, the devoted fansauce, are eagerly awaiting it and are filled will an uncontrollable rage because you have to wait another 6 months more than you hoped to get some more of that wonderful sauce, but BEAR with us (like our mascot), and I promise it will be worth your while.
